What Connect is used for

Connect is the online system for submitting applications and notifications to the FCA, including applications for authorisation or registration.

If you are trying to submit regulatory data you will need to use RegData. RegData is our data collection platform for gathering regulatory data from firms.

If you would like to view your fees account or pay fees online, you will need to use our Online Invoicing System.

How to sign in

Sign in to My FCA using your existing Connect details for access to tasks. Go to Connect for applications and notifications.

How to register for Connect

Find out more about how to register, including more information on levels of access to Connect for authorised, registered and unauthorised firms.

You will also find a short video and user guide to take you through the steps involved.

Tracking an application

The time taken to assess your application will depend on whether everything is included, complete and clear.

You can track the progress of an application within Connect.

  • Sign in to My FCA and go to Connect.
  • Select 'My Applications' on the home page.
  • Select the relevant application to track its progress.

Once you’ve made an application on Connect, we will contact you within 3 weeks, normally to tell you which case officer we have assigned to your application or to tell you the date by which we will assign your application.

When a case officer is assigned to your application, you will receive an email notification and an alert within Connect.

Your application should be completed in line with our service level agreements (SLA) that can be found within Connect. Specific SLAs can be found within the 'My Applications' section.
