Our annual Regulatory Priorities reports set out what we expect from firms in each sector. Read the report for your market and act on the priorities that apply to you.
We have introduced nine annual Regulatory Priorities reports to replace portfolio letters.
These reports are a clearer, more consistent way of sharing our sector-specific priorities. They will help firms understand what we expect and where to focus.
These reports provide:

- Further work we plan to carry out in the coming year.
Read your relevant report and consider which priorities apply to your business model.
Firms should also consider whether they have business lines that could be included in other Regulatory Priorities reports.

Each report outlines our priority areas of focus for firms in that sector. This helps firms understand what is expected of them, comply with our requirements, innovate with confidence, and deliver improved outcomes for consumers.
We developed these reports with feedback from firms, trade bodies and other stakeholders to make sure they are clear, actionable and reflect market realities.
We'll respond to market events and new risks as they emerge. This may mean starting new areas of work not included in the reports, or pausing work we had planned.
We have not produced a Regulatory Priorities report for the cryptoasset sector. A new UK cryptoasset regulatory regime will be introduced in October 2027.
We currently regulate cryptoasset firms only for anti‑money laundering, counter‑terrorist financing and financial promotions. Firms preparing for future regulated crypto activities can view information on the forthcoming regime gateway and related guidance.
