Find out about use of our logo, disclosure requirements and photos.

The FCA logo is a registered trademark, under trademark number UK00003463488. This means that the FCA has the exclusive right to use the logo for the services for which it is registered. If you do so, you may face legal proceedings for infringement of a registered trademark under section 10 of the Trade Marks Act 1994.

Use of our logo, disclosure and photos

For regulated firms, and organisations like lawyers, auditors and event organisers, unauthorised use of the FCA logo will also be a breach of our rules. This includes any use of the FCA logo in connection with the firm’s mandatory regulatory status disclosure. This is set out in our Handbook, at Chapter 5 of the General Provisions (GEN) sourcebook.

If you are dual-regulated, the required disclosure is ‘Authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority’. If you are only regulated by us, the required disclosure is ‘Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority’.

If you have a query about the use of the FCA logo, please contact the Digital and Design team. We will respond to your query within 5 working days.

The FCA logo shown above has been in use since April 2017. We no longer use the old logo on communications.
