Find out more about product sales data for credit agreements.
Product sales data (PSD) collections provide detailed information on individual credit agreements. This includes:
- Sales PSD: characteristics of the agreement and borrower at the start of the agreement
- Performance PSD: the ongoing activity in relation to some of these agreements.
Who must submit
Firms with a permission for consumer credit lending who have reported in their CCR003 submissions an annual total value of £2m or more in outstanding consumer credit balances and/or new consumer credit advances must submit Credit Agreement Sales (PSD008) reports and Credit Agreement Performance (PSD009) reports for all their relevant regulated credit agreements.
When a lender first comes into the scope of these reports, you’ll need to submit a one-off Credit Agreement Back-book (PSD008a) report. This report will provide details of credit agreements that will be included in your first PSD009 report but will not be included in your first PSD008 report.
All regulated credit agreements are 'relevant regulated credit agreements' under SUP 16 Annex 20, other than:
- Overdrafts.
- Regulated credit agreements secured on land.
If these PSD reports appear on your firm’s RegData reporting schedule and you don’t believe your firm should be in scope, please check your firm’s CCR003 submissions.
Make sure you review any CCR003 submissions for annual reporting periods ending after 31 March 2023.
Check your submissions have been reported correctly and in the correct currency amounts (that is, in thousands, rather than single units) and resubmit if necessary.
Firms with permission to enter into high-cost short-term credit or home credit loan agreements who have not reported £2m or more in outstanding consumer credit balances and/or annual new consumer credit advances must submit Short Term Loans (PSD006) reports in relation to the sale of these types of agreements.
When to submit PSD reports for credit agreements
Firms must submit all consumer credit related PSD collections on a calendar quarterly basis.
Firms must complete PSD items in the following time frames:
Report | Timeframe |
---|---|
PSD006 | 20 working days from the end of each calendar quarter. |
PSD008 | 20 working days from the end of each calendar quarter. |
PSD008a | 30 working days from the end of the firm’s first reporting period for PSD009. |
PSD009 | 30 working days from the end of each calendar quarter. |
When firms first fall within scope of the PSD008 and PSD009 reports, there is a period of time before their first reporting periods.
Annual total value in outstanding consumer credit balances and/or new consumer credit advances | First reporting period |
---|---|
£20m or more | Fifth calendar quarter following the quarter in which the relevant annual period ended. |
£2m or more, but less than £20m | Seventh calendar quarter following the quarter in which the relevant annual period ended. |
PSD006 reports will be scheduled as soon as the firm becomes authorised for one of the relevant permissions.
