Following a short period for comments, we have finalised our additional guidance setting out how firms should provide tailored support to users of arranged overdrafts who have benefited from support under our July guidance and continue to face financial difficulties and those who face financial difficulties due to coronavirus after 31 October.

The additional guidance applies from 2 October.

Our guidance published in July will continue to provide support for those affected by coronavirus until 31 October 2020.

Given ongoing uncertainties arising from the impact of coronavirus, the guidance will be kept under review and if circumstances change significantly, consideration will be given to any further measures that may be needed to support consumers during the ongoing pandemic.
