Non-regulated firms

Profiles for non-regulated firms

All non-financial counterparties need an approved firm profile on Connect to submit EMIR notifications and applications, even if you have done so via Connect without a firm profile in the past.

You'll need to:

  1. Register on the FCA’s Connect system.
  2. Set up a firm profile to enrol as a non-regulated firm on Connect.

Receiving an approved firm profile does not grant FCA-regulated status or any FCA permission to a firm. It is solely a step towards submitting notifications or applications under EMIR.

    6. Complete the relevant details, include the correct firm Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), or if an LEI is not available, the full legal name of your firm.
    7. Add details of your firm’s Principal user (including details of the person of appropriate seniority).
    8. Once you have completed all the relevant details, click 'Submit application'.

    Approval

Once you set up your firm profile, we need to review and approve your details before you can submit EMIR notifications.

This may take up to 7 business days.

We will tell you once your firm profile has been approved.
