Information for customers of Thomas Cook Plc – being alert to scams

All customers of Thomas Cook should remain alert to the possibility of fraud. Criminals will use Thomas Cook going into liquidation as a cover story to scam you out of your money.

If you are cold called by someone claiming to be from Thomas Cook, or any other company claiming to be involved in Thomas Cook’s liquidation, and they ask you for your personal and financial details please end the call as this will be a scam.

Treat all unexpected calls, emails and text messages with caution. Don’t assume they’re genuine, even if the person seems to know some basic information about you.

A genuine bank or financial services firm will never contact you out of the blue and ask for your PIN, full password or to move money to another account.
