Information on senior manager functions (SMF) - May 2025

 Information on individuals the FCA classifies as a "senior manager" role in its financial services register.

1. The total number of individuals currently registered under a senior manager function ("SMF") in the FCA's register
2. A breakdown of this number by the type of salutations used (eg Mr, Miss, Mrs)
3. The above information (number of SMFs and salutation breakdown) for each month between January 2020 and March 2025 inclusive, and the numbers as of the most recent date
4. Where an individual holds more than one SMF involvement at any time, please make sure the individual is only counted once in the dataset

The information you are seeking is attached at Annex A.

When considering the data please note that:

• Point-in-time data has not been utilised, the data is generated based on the individual’s current salutation on the Register. Consequently, any historical variations in salutations are not reflected or accounted for in the analysis.
• The number of unknown or blank salutation entries has increased significantly over the last year, as we no longer collect this information from firms or individuals.
• The data provided is at the last day of the month for the month listed.
