Freedom of Information: Right to know request:
Please provide a tabulated summary of salutations (eg Mr, Mrs etc) for all Senior Manager Function (SMF) applications for UK listed insurers, authorised to operate in the UK, for the past 12 months.
Include following set of insurers that are:
- regulated by the FCA only
- dual regulated by both FCA and PRA and FCA-led;
- dual regulated by both the PRA and FCA and PRA-led

We can confirm that we hold some of the requested information, which is set out in Annex A below. We have provided details of the requested number of applications per salutation over the last 12-month period (20 November 2024 – 19 November 2025) for those applications that fall under the remit of the FCA as administrative lead.
Please note, we do not hold information on the salutations used in SMF applications for dual-regulated firms where the PRA is the administrative lead".

Please note that in some instances, the salutation field was left blank during the application process. We would also like to explain that the FCA began the rollout of application forms that no longer request salutation information as of Q2 2024. Therefore, the total number of individuals without this data will increase from that time.
