• How many of these have been upheld?
• How many are pending?
• What is the average duration of upheld 'group complaints' (from date of submission to case closed)?
• What is the average duration of pending 'group complaints' (from date of submission to today's date)?
FCA response:
The total number of ‘group complaints’ (i.e., where we have received several complaints about the same issue) relating to the FCA’s handling of the P2P industry since 1 April 2014 is 697.
Of these, none have been upheld and 667 are still pending.
The average duration of pending 'group complaints' (from date of submission to today's date) is 1,448 days. Please note, a number of complaints have been deferred because of regulatory action. This means our investigation of a complaint is paused until the regulatory action concludes or we consider there is no longer a risk of impact on that action or the resource carrying out that action.
