Information on mortgages at or above 100% LTV - April 2025

Reference Case Number: FOI12208

Freedom of Information: Right to know request:

1.    The annual number and total value of mortgages issued in each of the last two years when the loan-to-value (LTV) ratio was 100% or higher.

2.    If possible, I would appreciate it if you could break down the annual number and total value of these mortgages for each of the last two years by the following property value bands:
-   Less than £500,000.
-   Between £500,000 and £1,000,000.
-   More than £1,000,000.

If you cannot answer both, can you please answer 1?

FCA response:

 Question 1.

I have reviewed the 'Mortgage Lenders and Administrators Statistics', but they do not appear to include a specific category for LTV ratios at or above 100%.
