Thank you for your email of 19 March 2024 in which you asked for:
‘I require an up to date list of the names and contact details for all insurance companies currently authorised by the FCA.’
You have subsequently clarified on 28 March 2024 that you request the following:
‘I require the individual (person) contact details (email) named on the ‘Firms’ page of all Brokers, Intermediaries and MGA’s.’
FCA response:
We can confirm that we hold the requested information, which is set out in Annex A attached to this email. Please note that this data is accurate at the time of extraction on 17 April 2024.
The list contains all currently authorised firms with the following General Insurance permissions:
- Arranging (bringing about) deals in investment.
- Making arrangements with a view to transactions in investments.
- Investment Type: non-Investment insurance contract.
Finally, please note that a wide range of firms have permission to distribute general insurance. There is no single identifying marker in our data for the term "MGA", "broker” or "intermediary". We have included all firms with the above permission. This also includes insurers and firms where their primary business may not be general insurance.
