Information on funeral plan sales - October 2023

As advised in our previous response to you under reference FOI10274, Funeral Plan Providers are required to submit their regulatory returns on a quarterly basis, providing sales and redemption figures for the given quarter. Therefore, we are unable to break down the cumulative amounts into specific months. To date, firms have provided a total of 4 quarterly conduct returns. Based on the submissions received from firms, the number of funeral plan sales, redemptions and cancellations are as listed below:

Our response to this question remains unchanged to our response to you under reference FOI10274. Revenue reporting forms part of the Prudential Return which firms are required to submit to the FCA on a half yearly basis. The latest Prudential Returns date was 31 December 2022, covering the period from the start of the regulation in July 2022 up to 31 December 2022.
