The FCA AI Live Testing FS25/5: AI Live Testing | FCA deadline for applications passed yesterday (15 Sep 2025). Can you tell me how many applications were received, and break the response down as far as possible by sector, type of product and use case?
For context, I'm particularly interested in the level of interest in the programme from companies involved in the homebuying, conveyancing and mortgage/lending spaces. One of my main aims is to understand the level of interest from companies in these fields.

Our response is below. In total, we received 52 applications from firms across a number of sectors. Please note that we do not hold information on the specific product type of these firms.
The artificial intelligence (AI) use case of each application was categorised to reflect the sector the AI use relates to – for example, in the case of applications from the Consumer Investments Advice & Distribution sector, the use case was marked ‘Consumer Investments Advice & Distribution’. Please note that in each instance, this was self-declared by each firm during the application process, and we did not independently verify the information provided.
