Data on Skilled Persons Reports 2013-2021 - March 2022

1. For the ‘Number of skilled persons reports commissioned’ figures (the “Figures”) published on the ‘Skilled person reviews’ section of the FCA’s website (the “Website”) for its 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2020/21 financial years:
   
   1. The number of skilled persons reports commissioned under Section 166 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 ("Reports") into firms in each subsector of the ‘General Insurance & Protection’ FCA Sector ('Retail', 'Wholesale' and 'Commercial' - together, the "Subsectors"); and
   2. The number of Reports commissioned into each Subsector which fall into each Skilled Person Panel Lot, as defined by the FCA at the time of commission.

2. For the 2021/22 financial year to date:
   
   1. The number of Reports commissioned into firms in each Subsector of the ‘General Insurance & Protection’ FCA Sector; and
   2. The number of Reports commissioned into each Subsector which fall into each Skilled Person Panel Lot, as defined by the FCA at the time of commission.

Please provide the information in spreadsheet (.csv or .xlsx) format.

Clarified request

In respect of (a) points 1 and 2, provide a breakdown by Portfolio.

In respect of (b) points 1 and 2, if it is possible to provide information by the lots they were issued against and a further breakdown of each lot by Portfolio, I would like to request to receive this data

We can confirm that we hold the information for question 1 as clarified in your email of 19 August, including, in respect of (b), broken down by lot and of each lot broken down by Portfolio. The information can be found in Annex A.

In respect of questions 2(a) or (b), there had not been any skilled persons reports commissioned under Section 166 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 for the financial year 2021/2022 as at the date of your request.
