Notify changes to PSD2 and EMD individuals

Tell us if you change the person responsible for payment services in your payment or e-money institution.

We must ensure that anyone who is a director of your firm or responsible for the management of your payments services or e-money services is of good repute and has appropriate knowledge and experience. These are called Payment Services Directive (PSD2) individuals or Electronic Money Services Directive (EMD) individuals.

You must tell us if there are changes to:

  • the person(s) responsible for your payment and/or e-money services

Changes to PSD2 individuals at payment institutions

To add, change or remove details of a PSD2 individual at a payment institution, you should complete the relevant paper form and email it to: [email protected] (you cannot submit this on Connect):

EMD individuals: add, change or remove them

To add, change or remove details of a EMD individual at a e-money institution, you should complete the relevant paper form and email it to: [email protected]:

Notify us if you appoint someone new responsible for payment services by completing an EMD individual form.

Remove an EMD individual

If an EMD individual leaves your employment or is no longer responsible for e-money or payment services at your firm, complete the remove an EMD individual form.

After you submit an EMD individual form

If we think that adding the individual will have an adverse effect on your business, we’ll contact you.
