GFCI 39 was compiled using 147 instrumental factors, including quantitative measures provided by third parties including the World Bank, the OECD and the United Nations. These instrumental factors are then combined with assessments of the perceived competitiveness of financial sectors by respondents to the GFCI online questionnaire.
