Description
Total number of solo and dual authorisations (determinations for CiC) approved broken down by firm/sector type for:
- New firm authorisations
- Variation of permissions (VoP)
- Change in control (CiC)
- Senior managers (SM)

In 2025/26, we approved 1,112 new firm authorisations and registrations, 1,242 variations of permission, 1,253 change in control determinations and 6,590 senior manager approvals. This reflects sustained demand across Authorisations routes, with volumes broadly consistent with last year.
Note: Crypto firms are not authorised as other firms are, instead they apply to be registered under the 5th Money Laundering Directive (5MLD), the same applies to firms applying to be registered under the 3rd and 4th Money Laundering Directives (3/4MLD).
