Funeral plan providers: firm-specific information

Firms which have not applied for authorisation

The following firms have not submitted an application for authorisation. They might not be authorised by 29 July 2022 and will need to stop selling and carrying out funeral plans in the UK by that date.

If you currently have a plan with one of these firms, get in touch with them now to find out what's happening with your plan.

If you are considering buying a new funeral plan, we advise you not to buy one from these firms until they have confirmed their plans for seeking authorisation.

  • B Livesy & Son
  • Bristol Memorial Woodlands FP Limited
  • Fox Milton and Co Limited (trading as Unique Funeral Plans) See our consumer alert
  • Iberian Funeral Plans (if purchasing a plan for a funeral in the UK)
  • PS Cremations Funeral Planning Limited
  • Sovereign Lifecare
  • The Independent Funeral Partnership

Firms which have withdrawn their applications, or been refused

We advise that you do not buy a new funeral plan from these providers. If you have an existing plan with them, and haven’t heard from them, get in touch with your provider as soon as possible.

There is more information about each provider below.

If you need to get in touch with your provider, here are some questions you might want to ask:

  • What are my options? Can you send these to me in writing?
  • When can I expect to hear more from you?
  • Will you still be able to deliver on my funeral plan?

Existing plan holders can ask for their plan to be cancelled and request a refund of any money paid into the plan. However, customers should be aware there may be a cancellation fee and should check the terms and conditions of their contract with the firm.
