Why we are consulting

On 30 September 2026 we published Policy Statement PS26/19, setting out the new regime for sustainability disclosures for listed issuers.

These new rules will come into force on 1 January 2027.

In CP26/5 (PDF) we said that we would consider the need for further guidance on our disclosure expectations through updates to our technical notes following that consultation. We are now consulting on changes to the Knowledge Base relating to sustainability disclosures.

A proposed new technical note:
