Why we are consulting

We are consulting on FCA periodic fees rates for the next financial year (2021/22) and further FCA fees policy proposals. We are also consulting on the Financial Ombudsman Service general levy, Money and Pensions Service, Devolved Authorities and illegal money-lending levies for the next financial year.

Who this applies to

All fee payers will be affected by this consultation.

Although fees are indirectly met by financial services consumers, there isn’t anything directly relevant to them or consumer groups in the consultation paper.

On 23 April 2021 we published an updated version of CP21/8 (please follow the link above) which amends the description of the A.5 fee-block in paragraphs 2.66 and 3.22 from “managing general agents in the A.5 fee-block” to the correct description “managing agents at Lloyd’s in the A.5 fee-block”.

Next steps

We want to know what you think of our proposed:

  • FCA 2021/22 periodic fee rates, further FCA fees policy proposals and proposals  for authorisation application fees and periodic fees structure for funeral plan firms.
  • 2021/22 Financial Ombudsman Service, Money and Pensions Service, Devolved Authorities and illegal money lending levies.

Please send us your comments by 25 May 2021.
