In November 2021, we consulted (CP 21/30) on new rules to ban debt packagers from receiving fees or other remuneration for referrals to debt solution providers. Following analysis of the feedback we received, we decided to gather some additional evidence from the debt packager market to supplement our existing evidence base.
Following the completion of this work, we will set out our proposed next steps, seeking feedback in a further 4-week consultation which will be published early in the new year.
