North East Warrington Credit Union (NEWCU) Limited was placed into administration on 4 May 2022 and has now stopped trading. Mike Dillon and Andrew Poxon of Leonard Curtis Business Rescue and Recovery Limited have been appointed as joint administrators.
North East Warrington Credit Union is a financial co-operative owned by its members. It is regulated by the PRA and the FCA as a deposit-taker. It's Firm Reference Number (FRN) is 213530.
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is stepping in to protect members. It will return members’ money within 7 days from 4 May 2022 when the credit union was declared in default.
