On 21 July 2025 Argentex LLP (Argentex) entered special administration under the Payment and Electronic Money Institution Insolvency Regulations 2021. This follows the firm’s decision to stop trading on 17 July 2025. Daniel Conway, Anthony Wright and David Hudson of FRP Advisory Trading Limited have been appointed as Joint Special Administrators.
Argentex is authorised by the FCA to provide electronic money and payment services. It is also authorised to provide wealth management services.
On 17 July 2025, Argentex stopped carrying out regulated business. Argentex has updated its website ( https://www.argentex.com) to inform its customers.
On 21 July 2025, Daniel Conway, Anthony Wright and David Hudson of FRP Advisory Trading Limited were appointed as Joint Special Administrators of Argentex under the Payment and Electronic Money Institution Insolvency Regulations 2021.
The Joint Special Administrators are responsible for managing customer claims against the firm and returning funds where possible. The Joint Special Administrators are required to report their proposals to creditors within 8 weeks of their appointment.
