I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.
I am looking for SM&CR information in respect of General Insurance and Protection intermediary firms that are included in the following 3 portfolios (i) Personal and Commercial Lines insurance intermediaries (ii) Lloyd’s & London market intermediaries (including managing general agents) and (iii) Price Comparison Websites (PCWs).
1. SM&CR population – all questions refer to the GI Intermediaries population as per the above
As of the date of the FCA's response to this request.
1. How many General Insurance intermediaries are captured by SM&CR
2. How many persons are approved to perform SMF roles
3. How many persons are certified to perform an FCA specified significant harm function
Please breakdown the above between (i) Personal and Commercial Lines insurance intermediaries (ii) Lloyd’s & London market intermediaries (including managing general agents) and (iii) PCWs.
2. Conduct rules reporting (conduct rules staff other than SMF managers) – all questions refer to the GI intermediaries population as per the above
Based on the data from REP 008 covering the period 1st September 2020 to 31st August 2021 (Form H):
Firms:
1. How many firms have submitted REP 008?
2. How many firms have reported conduct rules breaches?
Please breakdown the above between (i) Personal and Commercial Lines insurance intermediaries (ii) Lloyd’s & London market intermediaries (including managing general agents) and (iii) PCWs.
Individuals:
3. How many individuals have breached conduct rules?
4. Of that number above, how many are (i) certified to perform an FCA specified significant harm function (ii) Standard non-executive directors and (iii) other (i.e. all other conduct rules staff excluding SMF managers)
5. Please provide a breakdown of rule breaches as a number and percentage against each individual conduct rule.

4. Of that number, what is the split between Individual and Senior Manager Conduct Rules?
