FCA response:

We report data at financial year level; therefore, we have provided the information in the format of 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25.

For each data point in the REP-CRIM, we issue guidance notes for firms completing the return. These are available in the FCA Handbook under SUP 16 Annex 42B (guidance notes for completion of the Annual Financial Crime Report).

The table below provides total figures, for financial years 2019/2020 to 2024/25, on firms in portfolios covering banks and building societies.

We regularly conduct data quality checks of the REP-CRIM dataset and have excluded three firm submissions where we noticed incorrect or poor data points from the below table. These submissions have no material impact on the overall numbers however we follow-up with the relevant firms and remind them that they must ensure that the data they submit is accurate.
