We explain how you can order an extract of data from the Financial Services (FS) Register.
We can provide either an extract of just the firms’ data, or firms’ and individuals’ data (this is an enhanced service with an additional fee). The Register Extract Service (RES) is a subset of data from the FS Register.
This service forms part of our guide to the information publication scheme.
The data can be ordered as follows:
- weekly or monthly subscription
- a single, one-off copy
The RES can be provided via the web as a download/search facility (from our distribution partner Spectrum Data Management).

- what services you can opt for
- how you may use the RES
- an explanation of the service's file structure and content
Charges
The download service carries 2 annual charges – one for SDM and one for the FCA (listed below).
For example, ordering the FCA firms’ data for compliance purposes on a weekly basis would incur a total cost of £4,467.83: £1,868.83 payable to SDM and £2,599 payable to the FCA.
All prices are annual charges and exclude VAT.
