General Insurance Pricing Practices Market Study Forums: 11, 16 and 23 November 2020

Virtual events about our proposed package of remedies for the home and motor insurance markets.

We published our market study final report into the pricing of home and motor insurance on 22 September 2020.

The study found that competition is not working well for all consumers in these markets. The report sets out concerns about how consumers who do not switch or negotiate with their provider pay high prices for their insurance.

To address these concerns, we published a consultation paper alongside the final report, which sets out the proposed remedies in detail.

We are holding a series of virtual forums about the proposed package of remedies that we are consulting on. At the forums we will answer your questions and respond to any concerns you have about the proposals.

Each forum will focus on a different aspect of the remedy package, the details and timings of which are available on the dates and topics page. Please submit your questions to us at least 1 week prior to the event date.

Who should attend?

Home and motor insurance firms and relevant trade bodies.

We also encourage those in attendance to have read the draft handbook text in advance (see appendix 1 in the consultation paper).
