Insurance and pure protection complaints 2026 H1
There were 722,974 complaints about insurance and pure protection products, 8.6% more than in 2025 H2.
Most insurance complaints related to motor and transport insurance.
Firms received 237,421 complaints about motor and transport insurance, followed by 116,937 complaints about other general insurance and 85,527 complaints about property insurance.
Warranty complaints increased by 26.9%, from 61,571 to 78,119, while travel complaints increased by 26.4%, from 33,406 to 42,215. Motor and transport complaints increased by 10.1%. Property complaints fell by 3.8%.
