The DRCF was launched in July 2020 as a voluntary forum and aims to support cooperation between its 4 members:
- the Office of Communications (Ofcom)
- the Competition Markets Authority (CMA)
- the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
- the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
We joined the forum as a full member in April 2021, having previously been an observer member.
DRCF Vision
The DRCF set out its three-year vision in 2024:
- Protecting & empowering people online - Raising public awareness, encouraging business compliance and taking action to prevent harms.
- Unlocking digital innovation & economic growth - Driving productivity by enabling technology to supercharge growth.
- Supporting regulator effectiveness - Working together to ensure successful adoption and operation of our rules.
- Leading domestic & international discussions - Driving conversations on appropriate enablers and parameters of digital industries.
- Anticipating future developments - Strengthening our understanding of the potential opportunities and challenges of emerging technologies.
2025/26 Workplan and 2024/5 Annual Report
The DRCF published its 2025/26 Workplan and 2024/25 Annual Report on 30 April 2025. These set out how the DRCF will continue to implement its three-year vision in 2025/26 and showcase its achievements.
The FCA plays an important role, alongside its regulatory partners in delivering its vision and priorities.
