RegData is our new data collection platform for gathering regulatory data from firms. It replaces our Gabriel system, and makes it easier for firms to submit their data.
All 52,000 firms that provide regular regulatory submissions in Gabriel will need to use RegData.
Validating CCR data items
We are aware of an issue preventing some firms successfully validating CCR data items.
You may see the error message ‘Field must be one of: 'unconsolidated', 'solo-consolidated', 'UK consolidation group', 'banking conglomerate', 'investment conglomerate', 'UK integrated group', 'DLG by default', 'UK DLG by modification', 'Non-UK DLG by modification'.
We are working to resolve this issue and will provide an update as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
How to check if you have registered
You should register for RegData by completing a one-time activity in Gabriel by 6pm on the Friday before your planned moving date if you haven’t already done so. If your registration is incomplete, we may not be able to move your firm from Gabriel to RegData.
If you have already registered for RegData, no further action is needed.
If you have not registered for RegData, please follow the steps on our website. You will need to log into Gabriel and follow the prompts to link your Connect account with RegData. If you do not have a Connect account you will be asked to set one up as part of the registration process.
If you are unsure whether you have registered or not, please login to Gabriel using your usual log in credentials.
- If you are not prompted to register for RegData this confirms you have already completed the registration process.
- If you are prompted to register, you need to follow the steps to complete this process by 6pm on the Friday immediately before your moving date.
You only need to register once for RegData. Your email address and password to access RegData will be the same as your Connect account.
If you are the Principal User of the firm, ensure any additional Firm Users that you may have set up also complete the registration in Gabriel by 6pm, otherwise you will need to set them up as new users in RegData.
Moving to RegData
We have started the process of moving firms and individuals over to RegData, and are doing this in stages. We will contact your firm directly, 3 weeks before your planned moving date. Until then, please continue to report via Gabriel.
As with Gabriel, you can use the RegData system to:
- submit regulatory data
- view a tailored schedule of your reporting requirements
- view all your submissions in one place
- print data items
RegData is built with more flexible technology so we can fix issues faster and continue to improve the user experience.
Refer to our resources page for user guides and explainer videos to guide you through every aspect of the system.
If you haven't yet moved to RegData, find out how you can prepare your firm for the move.
In the future, we will:
- publish technical guides and the details of any system upgrades
- keep firms regularly updated on developments via our website and other communications channels, including Regulation Round-up
To access RegData, we recommend you have:
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or above (free download)
- Google Chrome
- a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels
The data items you submit won't change in RegData – you'll just complete your submission in the RegData system instead of Gabriel. We've already published help on how to complete some of the most common data items in Gabriel, such as financials or client money and asset returns, which remain the same for RegData.
We've also published data reference guides for Gabriel which remain the same for RegData.
Policy guidance and FAQs
