This guidance sets out what firms and consumers can expect from the FCA and how we intend to deliver our statutory responsibilities. It is based around our three operational objectives of protecting consumers, ensuring market integrity, and promoting effective competition. We published an earlier version in July 2013 and received feedback to this. This revised version takes into account the feedback we received and other developments since we published the first version of the guidance. The feedback we received is set out in FS15/5: Feedback to The FCA’s approach to advancing its objectives.
