On 1 December 2025, ESE Capital Limited entered Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation.
On 26 January 2026 we updated this news story to include more information on the funds managed by ESE Capital, its business and what to do next if you are an investor.
Adam Price and Lane Bednash of CMB Partners UK Limited were appointed as Joint Liquidators of the firm.
ESE Capital Limited is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) (Firm Ref No. 469499). The firm provides financial management services and specialises in alternative investment opportunities.
ESE Capital has notified the FCA that it managed the following Funds:
- Cadnam Management Ltd
- College Wood Farm Phase 1 Limited
- Clopton Fields Management Limited
- Cam Land (Dursley) Limited
- Castle Donnington Limited
- Badby Limited
- Newington (Sittingbourne) Ltd
- Warden Bay Sheppey Ltd
- Fordwich (Well Lane) Ltd
- The Barony NP (UK) Ltd (this Fund is already in administration with other insolvency practitioners)
The Funds managed by ESE Capital are Unauthorised Entities.
Each Fund established and managed by ESE Capital is unauthorised and set up as a separate legal company. Only ESE Capital, acting as Fund Manager, was authorised and regulated by the FCA.
The Liquidators have only been appointed over ESE Capital. As each Fund was established as a separate legal entity, the Liquidators may not be in a position to deal with claims that relate to the Funds.
While Mr Matthew Stuart Baker and Mr Gregory Samuel Baker remain listed as directors of certain Funds (detailed below), they do not have authority to act as a Fund Manager or make management decisions on behalf of the Funds. The Liquidators now control ESE Capital’s affairs and any shareholder rights held by ESE Capital. This includes, for example, the controlling shares in the Funds listed above.
The FCA requires Fund Managers entering liquidation to make arrangements for the Funds they manage.
