‘Please may I request the following information broken down by calendar month since 1st October 2023 until the present day (09.10.2024) regarding PS23/6:
- Number of alerts issued by the FCA about cryptoasset promotions
- The number of times the FCA was able to remove illegal content to protect consumers under its cryptoasset promotions regime
- The number of times an alert issued by the FCA about cryptoasset promotions resulted in enforcement action

FCA response:
For question 1, we have published 1702 consumer alerts concerning illegal cryptoasset promotions.
For question 2, we have taken down over 900 crypto scam websites and removed 56 apps that were illegally promoting crypto investment activities.
For question 3, Consumer alerts do not result in enforcement action but are one of the tools we use to warn consumers that a firm or individual is not FCA regulated.
