Reference Case Number: FOI2026/01166
Freedom of Information: Right to know request:
I am requesting, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, a list of all investment vehicles currently authorised or registered by the FCA as collective investment schemes (CIS).
I note that in May 2025 the FCA released a list of authorised asset management firms and their permissions. I am seeking the equivalent data at the level of individual investment vehicles rather than managing firms, ideally provided as separate annexes by fund type in CSV or Excel format.
For each vehicle, I request the following information where held:
- Fund/scheme name (legal name) and trading name(s) if different
- FCA scheme reference number (SRN) or Firm Reference Number (FRN)
- Fund type/legal form (UK UCITS, NURS, ACS, AUT, OEIC/ICVC,
- Authorised AIF, or other authorised/registered CIS category)
- Date of authorisation or registration
- Current status (e.g. authorised, suspended, wound up)
- Name and FRN of the authorised fund manager (AFM) or operator
- Whether the vehicle is a standalone fund or umbrella scheme (and if umbrella, number of sub-funds)
- If held: whether currently open or closed to new investment,
- and whether UK-domiciled or a recognised overseas scheme
If any part of this request is exempt from disclosure, I ask that the remaining information still be provided and that the applicable exemption be identified.
FCA response:
