R2B2 data is financial and volume-based data spanning retail banks’ and building societies’ business models. The data is important for us to understand how business models evolve, analyse how each product segment contributes to the business, and monitor competitive dynamics in the industry.
These changes are one element of broader regulatory efforts to streamline data collection and reduce unnecessary burden. We’ve improved the request after extensive engagement with industry, reducing the number of datapoints and fixing technological issues. The improved request will be available to firms in RegData.
