The Money Advice Service (MAS – formerly known as the Consumer Finance Education Body (CFEB)) was established in April 2010.

MAS objectives are to enhance:

  • the ability of members of the public to manage their own financial affairs.

Since April 2012, MAS has taken on the role of coordinating and funding the provision of debt advice to consumers across the UK.

MAS is funded by levies from authorised firms.

MAS is undertaking a review of the levy system for introduction from 2013/14, so account of fees to be added when this has reported.
